More about Industrial Strength Mindfulness:

This is an 8 session program of 1-on-1 coaching that will give you the roadmap to establishing your industrial strength daily mindfulness habit, whether your goal is to meditate for 10 minutes a day or 200. If you want to make sure you’re practicing mindfulness as effectively as possible, this is the package for you.

Establishing a new habit can be challenging on your own – Malin will work with you to craft a plan that suits your needs and goals, and will help keep you accountable, evaluate progress, and make adjustments as you put it into practice. Using a uniquely flexible and neurodiversity-informed 3-pillar approach, even students who struggle with meditation or habit-setting will have the tools to find success with mindfulness.

FAQ

Why mindfulness coaching?

For most people, mindfulness is easy to dip a toe into, but much more challenging to stick with in the long term.

You might find yourself only practicing when you’re already overwhelmingly stressed, even if daily practice would prevent you from getting overwhelmed in the first place.

You might know in your head what the benefits of mindfulness are, but can’t translate that into action and practice, and you don’t know what the missing piece is.

You might fall into autopilot over and over again throughout your day, spacing out, going back to bad habits that you’ve tried to kick.

We’re social creatures. We tend to work best in teams (yes, even the introverts!) A mindfulness coach is someone you’re bringing onto your team who has the expertise and the enthusiasm to get you to where you want to be. No need to hack it alone when there’s someone who’s been where you are and knows how to make it to the other side.

When it comes down to it, life is short. Mindfulness makes sure that yours won’t pass you by. It’s worth the investment.

Typically a session will start with the coach checking in with you about what is most important to you to accomplish or talk about that day. You’ll review progress from the previous session, collaboratively problem solve as necessary and set new goals. The coach may spend some time teaching you a new meditation technique or strategy. You may also practice a technique together during the session, either with guidance or silently, and have the opportunity to talk through what you experienced and get feedback. In general, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask the coach questions and get personalized advice and feedback on your practice, whether you’re in a coaching program (like Industrial Strength Mindfulness) or taking custom sessions.

This is a valid concern! Luckily, Sunyata Saskatoon works with a system called Unified Mindfulness, which is chock full of tools to bring your mindfulness into everyday life. During coaching, we can give you techniques to use during your everyday activities that can get you exactly the same end results as quiet, seated practice, so that you don’t have to carve out any extra time in your day.
